The last few weeks have been painful for our country. Day by day, it seems the nation is getting more and more divided — which in turn creates more and more fear.

Today’s eclipse did something that we desperately needed, it got us all on the same page. It dominated the conversation and new’ s cycle, which for me was a welcomed blessing.

It also gave us all a reason to lift our heads to gaze upon something higher than ourselves.

I am not naive to believe this moment will last forever…or even tomorrow morning for that matter. But I am choosing to hold on to the beautiful moments I witnessed today as I was out with my daughter – parks filled with a variety of people, strangers going out of their way to share glasses, adults on bended knee explaining the ‘science’ behind the eclipse to little kids.  It was beautiful!

There is no denying the fact that our country is in a hard place right now, but today did leave me with a little more hope than days past! For that I am both inspired and humbled.

Until next time,

Stay Encouraged & Be Blessed!

About Channie

Meal prepper, lesson planner, laundry doer, activities coordinator, sibling mediator, house-cleaner, party-planner, sister, auntie, friend, and prayerfully still the best date my husband has had. Life during this season is busy--sometimes a bit overwhelming. But I have decided instead of focusing on how hectic it can all be, I am going to look for all the lessons I am able to learn right here in the middle of it!
